The Paris Motor Show, the world’s first motor show, launched in 1898, is an international event dedicated to cars. It celebrates its 120th anniversary this year. Its line-up comprises a showcase of car manufacturers, the latest prototypes from vehicle brands, and others.
“It was extra large, and now, it’s small, it’s a small auto show. That’s because many carmakers think that to go to an auto show is extremely expensive, so they’ve decided to give it a miss,” says Christophe Bourroux, RTL Radio automotive specialist.
“It’s the case for BMW, Jaguar, or the Volkswagen Group. It lasts only one week, in the past it used to be over three weekends, it was huge.”
The brands available at the Paris Motor Show include (but are not limited to) Alpine, Great Wall Motors, and Jeep. However, some brands, such as BMW, Jaguar, and Volkswagen Group, are not present at the expo.
