On October 11, BYD will launch its second electric vehicle for the Indian market, the Atto 3. Excitingly, the automaker has reportedly unveiled the SUV’s external appearance in a teaser film ahead of schedule, as per Car Wale.
Based on the teaser video, the BYD Atto 3 appears to be a sleek-looking electric vehicle. The front appears contemporary, with a chrome-finished blanked-out grille, LED headlights, and embedded DRLs.
Furthermore, the bumper has vertical air inlets on both sides. The wheels have a dual-tone swirl design, while the linked LED tail lamps highlight the back.
Remarkably, the interior of the Atto 3 will include a dual-tone blue and grey color theme, a rotatable 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, vehicle-to-load feature, and electrically-adjustable ORVMs, as per a previously released photograph.
It is worth noting that adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, a blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert with brake are available on the international-spec vehicle. These features are likely to be included on the India-spec variant as well.
Atto 3’s powertrain is anticipated to come in two versions. A 49.92kWh battery pack will drive the standard version. Meanwhile, the extended version is powered by a larger 60.48kWh battery pack concealed beneath the floor. However, both versions will feature the same 0 to 100kmph sprint time of 7.3 seconds. They will also have a 201bhp and 310Nm of torque.
