On Tuesday, British electric bicycle maker GoZero Mobility said it can exchange conventional bicycles of any brand between INR 7000 to INR 25000 to electric bicycles of the company.
The initiatives started under GoZero’s campaign called “Switch” began on January 10, 2022, and will go on for three months till April 9, 2022, the company said in a release.
Sumit Ranjan, co-founder, GoZero Mobility, said, “For us, the end-use or motive of this campaign is that we will refurbish all the collected bikes and use them internally. This baby step is also directed towards our larger goal of clean and emission-free mobility,”
Consumers always choose to be different. The whole idea around this campaign is to why settle for less. People have been riding conventional bikes for ages. This is now for them to consider switching to the trendier and upgraded eBikes of GoZero,” He said.
According to him, models available under switch will be X-Series products that range from INR 34,999 to 45,999. Ranjan said, “Our X series eBikes are well apt to meet all standard and off-road requirements of a bicycle.
At the same time, the user provides user optimum comfort of an electric drivetrain.
GoZero Mobility had announced its presence in the Indian market in March 2019 with the launch of its two e-bikes, “one” and “Mile”, priced at INR 32,999 to INR 29,999, respectively.
The company set up its first manufacturing base in Kolkata earlier in partnership with Kirti Solar Limited, the latter having invested USD 250,000 in GoZero for an undisclosed equity stake.
