German legacy automaker BMW has just unveiled the upcoming 2024 i7 electric sedan with three variants, including the already-known xDrive60, entry-level eDrive50, and the sporty M70.
Design
The new i7 model features a more classic and understated appearance, sporting the signature BMW kidney grille. It also become larger to enable spacious passenger and cargo rooms.
Its front area features two-piece headlights that frame the huge backlit grille. It also has a lower air intake and thin side intakes at the front clip’s outer edges, making the car look more aggressive. It also has an indention at the center of the hood, adding a dashing flair.

- chrome accents on the front air intakes, rocker panels, and trunk

The BMW i7 features a 105.7-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack with usable 101.7-kWh that enables an EPA-estimated driving range of more than 300 miles.
The base model eDrive50 with 19″ wheels offers a maximum driving range of 321 miles. The 20″ wheels can enable a range of 301 miles, while the 21″ wheels offer a driving range of 311 miles.
The xDrive60 AWD with 19″ wheels has a range of 317 miles, while the 20″ wheels offer 298 miles. The 21″ wheels can enable a 307-mile range.
The top-tier variant, the 2024 BMW i7 M70, has a driving range of 274 miles with 20″ wheels and 291 miles with 21″ wheels.

BMW also boasts that the 2024 i7 can hit 0%-100% charge within 12 hours using a Level 2 charger. With a DC fast charger, charging from 10%-80% will only take 34 minutes at up to approximately 195 kW. It also offers free 30-minute charging sessions at the Electrify America charging network for three years.
