EV charging network Blink announced revamps of its driver and host platforms and a new Blink Charging mobile app, according to Electrek.
It is revamped with ‘market-leading architecture’ and responsiveness to meet the company’s needs. In addition, the mobile app is entirely redesigned to boast a user-centric design and experience, to be more informative to EV drivers.
The new Blink Charging mobile app meets the needs of more than 6.6 million EV drivers worldwide. Whether charging in the US, Europe, or any of the growing 25+ countries Blink operates on. Both innovative software platforms have been built on industry-leading architecture to provide an intuitive, seamless, and convenient charging experience built upon a reliable, flexible, and responsive platform, says the press release from Blink.

The company further explained its network went through a complete build-out from the ground up using the latest scaling technologies for new capabilities and user experiences at market speeds.
The cloud-based, newly rebuilt Blink Network allows site hosts to onboard and connects Blink chargers globally. It offers global management of chargers in several languages across 26 countries. The strategic design makes Blink capable of making a seamless EV charging experience regardless of location.
Additionally, the newly launched Blink mobile charging app is made to have the charging experience easier and more accessible for home and public charging. It gives more control by improving search capabilities for nearby amenities and chargers by zip codes, city, business, category, or address.
The app also personalizes user experience by letting users save their favorite charger locations, manage payment information, view payment history, and receive real-time charging information.
