Indian electric scooter maker BGauss has just revealed what it claims to be the first-ever “RUV” (Recreational Utility Vehicle) in the country, the RUV350.
“RUV” promises safety, reliability, and quality.
BGauss officially introduced its new RUV350 ahead of its market launch on June 25, 2024, according to Motor World India.
India’s growing demand for electric scooters signifies a compelling prospect for both established two-wheeler automakers and startups in the country, which BGauss seeks to capitalize on.
The new RUV350 leverages the solid success of its predecessor D15 electric scooter to challenge the likes of Okinawa Okhi-90. It promises to deliver a high level of safety, reliability, and quality.
What’s currently known about the RUV350?
BGauss’ RUV350 aims to dominate the Indian two-wheeler market with its excellent performance, technology, and design. The company claims to have tailored the Recreational Utility Vehicle to meet the growing preferences of young electric scooter buyers in the country.
It promises to enable an “exhilarating” driving experience without compromising rider safety. It features the same 16-inch alloy wheels as the D15 for better riding quality.
Apart from these, it also focuses on the driver’s comfort and convenience. It has an upright rider’s triangle and practical amenities such as a flat floorboard and ample under-seat storage.
BGauss has yet to reveal the RUV350’s specific battery specifications and other key technical details. Nonetheless, many expect it to have more innovative powertrain parts than the D15.
BGauss RUV350’s edge in the Indian market
The new RUV350 undergoes production at BGauss’s state-of-the-art factory in Chakan, near Pune.
It also takes rigorous R&D to guarantee excellent performance and quality. In addition, BGauss has more than 125 showrooms across the country to market the new RUV350.
BGauss has plans to expand to global markets to boost its sales and industry presence.
Electric scooters are leading the charge in India’s electric vehicle boom, making it easier for new companies like BGauss to compete with established automakers.
