Remarkably, he amassed 30,000 miles on his Tesla Model S PLAID unit so far, a significantly high number for an electric car.

Exterior

The subject Tesla Model S PLAID, is an older design from about a decade’s release, which features an enticing silhouette.

It is equipped with 21-inch wheels that increase the big electric sedan’s performance and also adds style.

The front of the car boasts nice fog lights, a big grill, and a spacious trunk. It also has black camo details on the side mirrors.

The back of the car features a carbon fiber spoiler and an automatic rear tailgate that offers a very spacious trunk.

Interior

Remarkably, the back seats can be fully reclined to offer a more expansive space on the trunk. There is also a screen for the passengers in the back seats. Another exciting feature is that the handle at the back door has a touchscreen button to unlock it.

Apart from that, the Tesla Model S PLAID has a bigger screen in the car’s front to fill the lack of buttons offered by the automaker. The screen provides many features, including temperature adjustments and entertainment. On the other hand, there are two USBC ports below the screen and some floor lights.

Meanwhile, a carbon fiber sheet opens halfway, which unveils the cupholder and a ton of space for other purposes.

Specs

The Tesla Model S PLAID is a triple motor power train sedan. The first motor is built between the front wheels, while the other two are between the back wheels. These motors provide 1,020 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft (1420 Nm) torque.

Marques Brownlee stated that the initial range of the Tesla Model S PLAID was about 390 miles on a full charge when it was new. After using it for a year and a half, the YouTuber could generate 30,000 miles.

However, the range degraded to about 10% to 365 miles on a full charge, which is just a normal range for a new electric car.

Tesla App

The Tesla mobile app can be used as a key to lock and unlock the Tesla Model S PLAID’s door. It also boasts the following exciting features: Preheat options, interior climate control, location summon, schedule, security & drivers, charge stats, call service, and roadside.
