With new electric vehicle supply constraints, used EVs will have to take up a significant portion of EV goals over the next decade.

Based on the results of today’s survey, the forthright purchase cost is the most important consideration for consumers when purchasing a used EV, followed by the vehicle’s range.

Range Anxiety on Irish consumers

According to today’s report, the psychological phenomenon known as “range anxiety” continues to be a barrier for Irish consumers.

According to the report, there are, as of now, only 1,350 EV charging stations on the island of Ireland, which are controlled and maintained by the ESB.

On the other hand, Norway reportedly has 17,000 charging stations all over the country to accommodate its slightly more than 5.5 million population.

However, the report claims that the government’s plan to install a pool of high-powered chargers every 60 kilometers on the highway network will alleviate some range anxiety.

According to the most recent DoneDeal survey, the Volkswagen ID.4 was the most popular new electric car on DoneDeal last year, followed by the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Kia EV6, the Audi E-Tron, and the Nissan Leaf.
