Porsche Taycan

According to InsideEVs, the appearance of the Taycan will undergo a minor facelift, with bigger headlights and a slightly modified bumper.

However, it is anticipated that the car’s overall external and interior designs will not change. Furthermore, the range and power ratings will be comparable to the current models.

In testing in Germany, the facelifted Taycan was seen without much cover. The front fascia will be slightly modified, as seen in the image below:

Auto Evolution reported that Porsche plans to upgrade the Taycan with several improvements, some of which are already apparent in these prototypes. The first of these changes is a redesigned front bumper that is currently taped off. The minor modifications to the rear bumper are also covered with tape.

When comparing how the bumpers look, the front has undergone more alterations than the back because it has more tape and a bigger concealed area. However, given that these are just preliminary designs, things may change even more as the project develops.

It is worth noting that Porsche usually redesigns its cars after four years. After eight years, a completely new model is introduced.

For instance, The Taycan reached the market in late 2019. Therefore, a facelift is anticipated for late 2023 or early 2024. Notably, the next-generation Taycan is expected to debut in 2027.

Taycan Turbo GT

Recent sightings on the Nürburgring feature an “aggressive, winged” Taycan prototype. It is speculated to be the Taycan Turbo GT, which was given the nameplate for the first time on the Cayenne last year.

Notably, the Taycan Turbo GT has a tri-motor powertrain and may have more than 1,000 horsepower. The GT version would likely attempt to beat the Taycan Turbo S, the current fastest electric car around the Nürburgring. It currently has a lap time of 7 minutes and 33 seconds.

Pricing-wise, a Turbo GT model would probably cost more than $200,000, given that the Turbo S now sells for $187,400.

The Taycan facelift prototypes have only recently been spotted on public roads, so we will likely see them again later in the next year.
