UK’s leading smart charging company Ohme signed a deal with Volkswagen Group brands to be the brand’s official EV charging partner.
The brands include Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Škoda, Cupra, and Seat. It will see the company recommends Ohme chargers to customers. According to Electric Cars Report, the Ohme Home Pro charger will be displayed in showrooms for customers to see.

Ohme’s Home Pro smart charger can connect to the national grid in real-time. It allows owners to automatically adjust their charging to take advantage of the lowest charging prices with off-peak tariffs. The smart charger offers the option to charge their vehicle when the renewable energy generation on the National Grid is at its peak, lowering CO2 impact.
It could cost £5.78 to charge a 77kWh Volkswagen ID.3 from zero to 100 using an Ohme Home Pro in a smart off-peak tariff such as Octopus Intelligent. In comparison to Octopus Standard Variable tariff for £26.
