Nio accomplished a record 906,056 battery replacements, 13,629 charging points were used 646,903 times, and 75% of users were from brands other than Nio.

During the Lunar New Year (CNY), the country moves as people rush from megacities to their home cities to celebrate the most important Chinese holiday, which lasts two weeks, with family.

Issuing Travel Reports is very popular in China; one of the most prominent is the CNY New Energy Big Data Report from Baidu Maps, which summarized how many charging points were used during CNY, how many kilometers evs drove, which cities had the most EV traffic, and so on.

100 million kilometers usage of EVs

The figures are staggering: charging stations were used half a multiple times per day on average, and electric vehicles drove over 100 million kilometers daily, up 90% yearly.

According to the Shanghai-based automaker’s report, Nio consumers drove over 270 million kilometers and 8.5 million driving hours during the CNY.

ICE cars reduced carbon emissions by 18 thousand ton

Nio claimed it reduced carbon pollution by 18 thousand tons compared to users driving ICE cars.

The first day of CNY was January 22; for Nio, the busiest day was January 16, and the busiest day for heading back was January 29.

Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou have the highest number of Nio users leaving the city. Suzhou, Jiaxing, and Shaoxing were the top three cities for new residents.

Nio’s ADAS is efficient in assisting its users

Nio Pilot (advanced driver assistance system) assisted users in driving nearly 40 million kilometers, with a total driving time of almost 452,000 hours using Nio’s ADAS system.

Over 4 billion times, users communicated with NOMI (digital assistant, Nio believes it is the world’s first in-vehicle artificial intelligence).

The “navigate home” command was issued 400 thousand times, and the CNY easter egg command “set off firecrackers” was executed 60 thousand times.

Nio held promos for highway swapping during the holiday, resulting in 282 thousand of free swaps. The previous daily high was 62,356 swaps in a single day. During the CNY, the average daily swaps were around 52 thousand.
