Dongfeng, through its new electric vehicle brand eπ, has finally opened presales for the new eπ 007 sedan in China on January 18.
The Dongfeng eπ 007 offers two powertrain configurations, including an all-electric (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV). As you can see in the official online configurator, presale starts at 159,000 yuan (22,100 USD).
The China-owned automaker aims to deliver the new model in the first quarter of 2024, as per Car News China.
Exterior design
The Dongfeng eπ 007 features a fast-back body type with frameless doors and concealed door handles. It also offers an optional electric scissor door.
Moreover, it has five-spoke blade rims and red calipers to intensify its sporty appearance.
It also sports an electric rear wing that autonomously leaps and falls depending on the car’s speed. It enables a remarkable 0.209Cd drag coefficient.
As for the dimensions, the sedan has a length of 4,880 mm, a width of 1,895mm, a height of 1,460mm, and a wheelbase of 2,915mm. These measurements enable the Dongfeng eπ 007 to compete in the medium-to-large vehicle segment.
Interior features
Inside, the Dongfeng eπ 007 features a two-color design with few physical buttons. It offers a two-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom layout.
It also boasts a rotating 8.8″ LCD instrument panel and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip-powered 15.6″ central control screen.
