Two Freightliner eCascadia semi trucks in production model form were delivered by Daimler Truck North America to Penske Truck Leasing in Reading, Pennsylvania, on November 28, as per Teslarati.
It is worth noting that since 2018, Penske and Daimler have collaborated to produce the eCascadia and eM2 semi-truck electric models.

About Daimler
German automaker Daimler is also one of the world’s largest truck makers, headquartered in Coventry, United Kingdom. It was the one to introduce the eCascadia in 2018.
During that period, Penske Truck Leasing and Daimler worked together to test and release electric trucks to the public, including the electric class 8 semi truck. The innovative eCascadia had its North American debut in May 2022.

Technical details of the eCascadia
The eCascadia offers a single-drive long range of 230 miles and a standard range of up to 155 miles.
Meanwhile, it takes roughly 90 minutes to fully recharge its battery to 80% capacity.
It has a charging capacity of about 80% in 90 minutes. Meanwhile, it has charging power of up to 180 kW for single ports and up to 270 kW for dual ports.
Furthermore, the truck can carry 82,000 pounds at its maximum gross combined weight.
The single drive has 320 HP (240 kW) or 395 HP (296 kW), while the tandem drive has 425 HP (317 kW) or 470 HP (350 kW).
The partnership with Daimler has produced several significant accomplishments, as per Penske. The two companies are expected to achieve even greater advancements with a strong and continuous partnership.
