To kompaktowy w pełni elektryczny SUV,choć w sumie przy długości 4.7m to nie wiem czy kompaktowy jest najlepszym określeniem ale tak nazywa go producent.

As you can see in the photos, the Sea Lion 07’s interior design language is identical to the BYD Qin L. It sports the brand’s signature floating rotatable screen on the dashboard’s center. Meanwhile, it integrates the instrument screen in the flowing dashboard.

It features a four-spoke steering wheel with multiple physical buttons. The center console houses a crystal gear lever with many buttons as well.

The model boasts leather perforated seats, increasing its premium feel. The door panels, steering wheel, and other touch points also use leather materials.

The industry expects BYD to announce the Sea Lion 07’s market launch this week at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show.

BYD Shark pickup spotted without camouflage

BYD previously announced plans to launch an electric pickup named “Shark,” which will debut at this year’s Beijing Auto Show this week.

Before its approaching world premiere, the electric pickup has been spotted without camouflage for the first time in Mexico City.

The pickup’s front end boasts an enticing lighting signature, featuring a notable similarity to the popular Ford F-150 Lightning. It has an off-road-ready look thanks to ample plastic cladding, side steps, an aluminum-style skid plate at the front, and a roll bar on the rear bed.

BYD previously confirmed that the Shark pickup would measure 5,457 mm (214.8″) long and 1,971 mm (77.6″) wide, with a 3,260 mm (128.3″) wheelbase. Therefore, it is bigger than the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux.

Technical specs

The BYD Sea Lion 07 will have two configurations: rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. The lower-spec variant features a 170 kW peak power motor that yields a 210 km/h top speed. Meanwhile, the higher-spec variant has a more powerful 230 kW peak power motor that delivers 225 km/h top speed.

One of the variants is expected to support 4WD, adding a 160 kW motor to the front axle. It complements the existing 230 kW motor. While the top speed stays at 225 km/h, acceleration will likely drop under 4 seconds.

The BYD Sea Lion 07 is expected to cost between 200,000 to 260,000 yuan.

On the other hand, the BYD Shark electric pickup will ride on the DMO Super Hybrid Off-road Platform. The plug-in hybrid setup is expected to yield about 480 horsepower (358 kW / 487 PS). It will also feature a smart electric four-wheel-drive system to enable off-road capabilities.

It will use BYD’s Blade battery, with recent reports claiming it would deliver an electric range of about 100 km (62 mph). Meanwhile, its combined range can deliver a maximum of 1,000 km (620 miles). Previous reports also suggest that BYD may release an all-electric version of the Shark pickup.

We can expect to learn more about the upcoming Sea Lion 07 SUV and Shark pickup at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show this week. These planned models are undoubtedly part of BYD’s strategy to defend its dominant position in the Chinese market and beyond.
