InsideEVs reported that Mercedes-Maybach’s 2024 EQS 680 4Matic SUV equipped with standard 21″ wheels received an EPA Combined range of 280 miles. Interestingly, this rating is just 1.8% (or 5 miles) less than the regular EQS 580 4Matic SUV AWD.
Notably, higher power output and/or weight of higher-end variants tend to reduce battery range.
That said, it is truly remarkable that the 2024 Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV managed to nearly match the EQS 580 4Matic’s range of 285 miles.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 4Matic SUV’s EPA-estimated energy consumption (including charging losses) is 76 MPGe or approximately 443 watt-hours per mile. It indicates a 1.1% drop compared to the regular EQS 580 4Matic SUV’s 438 Wh/mi.
