An interesting photo of the highly awaited Tesla Cybertruck has circulated the internet, indicating significant progress in launching the production line.
For context, Tesla has already announced plans to commence the steel beast’s production by the third quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, initial customer deliveries will start closer to the end of the year.
Leaked photo
Considering that the Cybertruck production is getting increasingly closer, leaked photos and videos of the steel beasts continue to emerge.
The most recent leaked photo of the Cybertruck revealed that the automaker has been making significant progress in building its production line at Gigafactory Texas.
Mathias Føns was the one who shared the photo on Twitter, which was apparently obtained from an anonymous Facebook account, claiming to have received it from a Tesla staff in the Austin factory.
As you can see, the leaked photo captured the Cybertruck bodies. The EV’s rear and front single-piece castings and frame are also visible all in one piece.
However, it must be noted that it consists of many pieces that are just combined together. The passenger body appears to be welded from castings. Meanwhile, the rear and front were probably made of single-piece castings. Then, Tesla may install the structural battery pack on the frame once it is covered in steel.
“Cybertruck is built with an exterior shell made for ultimate durability and passenger protection. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla armor glass.”
Tesla
Cybertruck’s general assembly remains vague, considering that Tesla is still in the process of improving and adapting it to the present environment.
