With the most popular Tesla Model, which version makes sense to buy?
Tesla Model 3 is currently one of the most popular electric vehicles. In a recent video uploaded by a Youtube user Bearded Tesla Guy, he outlined his thoughts on the Tesla Model 3, giving insights on the said car model.
He first commented on his own Tesla Model 3 Standard Range, which he stated was super-efficient, comfortable, and quieter than his Tesla Model Y.
Now, he is looking into buying a new Tesla Model 3 and considering all of the options: the RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) currently priced at $46,990, AWD (All-Wheel Drive) Long Range priced at $55,990, and the top-of-the-line AWD Performance which costs $62,990.
The RWD offers a range of up to 267 miles and is the cheapest out of all the trims. The Long Range costs $9,000 more but will give a significantly longer range to go up to 334 miles. It is also quicker in acceleration than RWD and can go from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. The AWD Performance which is the most expensive out of these three trims has a shorter range of 315 miles and has a top speed of 162 mph. It is significantly faster and can go from 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
The Youtuber did not specify which is the best trim to get for the Model. In my view, I think that the RWD is still the best option since it is the cheapest one and it also delivers enough range. If you are someone who has access with charging points, this might be the best option. Although if you are more of a person who likes to take frequent long drives, then Long Range would be significant. If you are into cars and driving and have enough cash to spend, then a Performance would make sense to buy.
But personally, the RWD will already be good enough because it still gives the performance and just lacks in a few range. However, more electric vehicles can give the same performance as Tesla Model 3 at a lower price. Still, of course, a Tesla is different.
