BYD proudly announced its expansion plans in Europe that would include a few more nations with an emphasis on the Benelux and Nordic markets after the pilot rollout in Norway, according to InsideEVs.
Since the first client deliveries are anticipated in Q4 2022, the Chinese manufacturer plans to begin sales in the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden relatively soon. Additionally, BYD will also offer electric vehicles for sale in Israel.
In order to accomplish this, BYD will engage in a strategic alliance with local dealers, exactly as in the case of Norway. These dealers include Louwman in the Netherlands, Hedin Mobility Group in Sweden and Germany, Nic. Christiansen Group in Denmark, RSA in Norway, and Shlomo Motors in Israel.
Since August 2021, BYD has operated in Norway and has sold the all-electric Tang model. Excitingly, the company will now provide three all-electric models in each of the markets mentioned above:
- Atto 3 (in China known as Yuan Plus) – C-segment crossover/SUV
- Han – sleek and sporty electric E-segment sedan
- Tang – 7-seater family SUV
BYD electric vehicles will be displayed for European clients at the next Paris Motor Show in October.
In comparison to what BYD offers in China, there are not any particularly innovative specs. The BYD Blade Battery will be included with every model (LFP chemistry). Nonetheless, it is indeed notable that the Atto 3, which runs on the BYD e-Platform 3.0, comes pre-configured with a heat pump.
Impressively, the BYD Atto 3’s projected WLTP driving range is 420 km (261 miles), while the Tang’s is 400 km (249 miles). The BYD Han has the best range of the three, with a WLTP range of 521 km (324 miles).
