Electric vehicle giant Tesla will finally begin the initial deliveries of the highly awaited e-pickup Cybertruck on November 30, 2023.
Tesla made the announcement during the Q3 2023 Shareholder Deck on Wednesday by presenting a photo of the electric Semi carrying three Cybertrucks. At the top part of the photo, Tesla indicated that the “CYBERTRUCK DELIVERIES BEGIN IN NOVEMBER 2023.”
Tesla’s official Cybertruck X account reiterated the new delivery timeline with a new poster.
Cybertruck production updates
Pilot production
Tesla is now on track to fulfill the long-delayed Cybertruck deliveries since the model’s introduction in 2019 in Los Angeles, California.
Tesla updated investors and fans yesterday that the electric pickup truck is currently in the pilot production phase.
“At Gigafactory Texas, we began pilot production of the Cybertruck, which remains on track for initial deliveries this year.”

Therefore, the initial deliveries may only involve limited Cybertruck units.
Installed annual vehicle capacity
The American electric vehicle giant also disclosed that the Cybertruck’s “installed annual vehicle capacity” is more than 125,000 units.
According to Electrek, it may just mean that the automaker has already prepared the necessary production lines for that capacity. However, Tesla may need more time to begin production ramp-up.
As Tesla Chief Elon Musk warned, producing the Cybertruck is more complex than any other model. Therefore, it may be challenging to hit volume production.
“I do want to emphasize that there will be enormous challenges in reaching volume production with the Cybertruck. I think it is our best product ever. It is going to require immense work to reach volume production and be cashflow positive at a price that people can afford. If you want to do something radical and innovative and something really special like the Cybertruck, it is extremely difficult because there’s nothing to copy. You have to invent not just hte car, but the way to make the car. So the more uncharted the territory, the less predictable the outcome.”

Tesla reiterated its target of delivering 1.8 million electric vehicles this year alone. The company has a strong chance to fulfill that, considering the large number of reservations for the all-electric pickup. The Tesla Model 3 Highland and the upgraded Model Y in China can also boost Tesla’s delivery figures before the year ends.
