Tesla CEO Elon Musk has finally announced the shipment of the most awaited Tesla Semi electric trucks with 500 miles of range for the customers by the end of the year. In order to do so, the firm has been hiring technicians to aid the production.
Tesla was reportedly seeking to hire its first service technicians for the Tesla Semi last year. The automaker was then setting up what it referred to as its “Semi Service Program” for the Tesla Semi electric truck. In order to optimize the Semi Service Program, Tesla plans to incorporate its mobile service strategy, which has proven to be successful with Tesla owners.
Now, Electrek discovered several recent job vacancies Tesla placed for service technicians for Tesla Semi as deliveries are now anticipated any day.
Tesla wrote in the listing:
“We are looking for experienced Service Technicians to support the growth of the Semi Service Program.” It was further highlighted that the newly hired technicians would be responsible for servicing the first Tesla Semi trucks for customers:
“Our goal is to find experienced technicians looking to take their careers to the next level. They will be supporting product and service development, as well as being the FIRST technicians to provide an in-person service to our new customers.”
For the Semi Service Program, Tesla specified five locations where it requires technicians. It includes four areas in California, including Fremont, Sacramento, Modesto, and Central Valley. The other is in Reno, Nevada.
Tesla also provided a list of responsibilities for the open position:
