Tesla may finally reveal the official specifications and prices of the highly awaited Cybertruck between August and September 2023.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to an investor query during the company’s Q1 2023 earnings call on April 20 that it aims to launch the “Cybertruck hand-over event” by the end of Q3 2023.
Nonetheless, CEO Musk hinted that the Cybertruck would be a remarkable EV offering that would amaze the automotive space.
“One thing I can confidently say is that it is an incredible product, it’s a hall of famer, I think. And a product like this only comes along once, once in a long while. People will not be disappointed in it at all, It’s amazing.”

Tesla to reveal Cybertruck’s specs and prices soon
Moreover, CEO Musk asserted that Tesla might reveal the Cybertruck’s key details before or during the planned special event.
In hindsight, Tesla already displayed the electric truck’s prices on its online configurator years ago. However, the automaker removed those details from its website in 2021 as there had been numerous changes and delays.
“Cybertruck pricing, it was unveiled in 2019, and the reservation was $US99. A lot has changed since then, so the specs and the pricing will be different.
I hate to give sort of a little bit of bad news, but I think there’s no way to sort of have anticipated quite the inflation that we’ve seen and the various issues.”

The delays pushed the Cybertruck production to mid-2023 from the initial plan, which is by the end of 2021. However, volume production is planned until early 2024.
“We do expect [Cybertruck] production to start maybe sometime this summer. But I always try to downplay the start of production, because the start of production is always very slow.
It increases exponentially but it’s always very slow at first, so I wouldn’t put too much stock in the start of production. [What is important is] … when volume production actually happens, and that’s next year.”

In retrospect, CEO Musk previously asserted that the electric truck would have one electric motor on each of its four wheels. However, Tesla has not reiterated this plan until today.
Drive also claims that Cybertruck’s shape and size will adhere to the motor vehicle safety standards in the US.
