Cybertruck production progress
Tesla formally launched the Cybertruck’s Delivery Event on November 30, 2023. Since then, the American automaker has ramped up the production of the new electric pickup in Gigafactory Texas.
Drone operators monitoring the progress in Giga Texas have reported more than 100 Cybertruck units on any given day. For context, Tesla aims to hit volume production within 12 to 18 months from the initial deliveries of the electric pickup.
The cutting-edge Tesla EV is also currently only available in the US market, with the potential to launch in Canada “soon.”
“No doubt we will sell @cybertruck in Canada – insanely huge interest. Have to file some routine paperwork, but hoping that can be wrapped up soon.”
Rohan Patel, Tesla’s Vice President of Public Policy and Business Development, said in an X post
Tesla also recently launched a nationwide Cybertruck tour in China and Japan. However, Chief Executive Musk clarified that it would be “very difficult” to legalize the electric pickup road in China and other markets like Europe due to its size and design.
