Tesla is putting its new strategy for remote test drives to the test in Europe by introducing its first gub in Örebro, located in Sweden.
The test drive experience in a Tesla EV is the same as any other test drive experience. However, the company has made several adjustments in the last few years to lessen the interaction between customers and employees and simplify the overall process.
Tesla’s contactless test drives
Tesla began offering no-contact test drives and vehicle shipments in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was done to reduce face-to-face contact while permitting consumers to drive the vehicles or finish an ownership procedure.
Nowadays, the potential risk of virus infection is less of a concern than the convenience it provides for people.
In order to make things more convenient for potential customers at the Swedish test drive hub, Tesla has implemented a new strategy.
Teslarati reports that you can book an appointment directly on Tesla’s website to test drive the Model 3, Model Y, or Model S presently available at the Orebro hub. Then, you can call once you have arrived at the location to confirm your appointment.
The car will be unlocked using a remote control. If you are a first-time driver, a representative will brief you on the fundamentals of putting the car in drive, navigating to your destination, and handling any other requirements.
The test drive will last for a total of half an hour.
Tesla offers smoother transactions for its costumers
The touchless test drive procedure is also a brilliant promotional tool for Tesla since it’s simply one more way that people can avoid the overly stressful process of purchasing a car. It is especially beneficial for people who are interested in purchasing a Tesla.
Various surveys suggest that people dislike car dealerships more than any other type of establishment. Most people would rather deal with their taxes than go car shopping.
Tesla has made it its mission to make buying a car less stressful by doing away with price haggling and adopting a consumer-to-consumer sales model. Consequently, customers are now less likely to believe that they are being taken advantage of by pushy automobile salespeople.
Test drives are not only a stressful part of the overall process of purchasing a vehicle, but they can also make prospective buyers of automobiles feel as though they are being evaluated closely for their choices.
The fact that Tesla is trying to alleviate the anxiety associated with each stage of the car-buying process will probably be one of the most significant benefits customers experience due to this new program.
