Fiat 500e rolls off the production line
Stellantis has officially rolled the Fiat 500e off the production line on February 21, marking its first electric vehicle model in the US.
The multinational automaker announced that the electric Fiat 500e will officially hit the US market by the end of March 2024.

It is indeed a piece of good news for the fans of the original Fiat 500 city car, considering that the 500e now boasts all-electric power and new technologies. The Fiat 500e has already dominated the electric city car market in Europe, advancing to the top spot in Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and France.
Finally, the Fiat 500e is now set to arrive in the North American market.
What’s currently known about the Fiat 500e?
Stellantis previously introduced the Fiat 500e at the 2023 LA Auto Show and launched its official debut for North America in December.
The first available version for the 2024 model year is the Fiat 500e RED equipped with a 42 kWh battery. It can deliver up to 149 miles in estimated driving range.
The Red edition sports red-pained mirrors, front grille, and LED headlamps. It also has 17″ diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The city car supports 85 kW fast charging that can add 31 miles range in just five minutes or 80% of charge in 35 minutes. It comes with three body paint options, including tuxedo black, glacier white, and Red.
Inside, the Fiat 500e Red sports a red dashboard with 7″ digital cluster and Uconnect-integrated 10.25″ center screen. It also offers more generous storage and bucket-style cloth seats with red accents.
The Fiat 500e is also currently the lightest passenger electric vehicle in its segment with just more than 3,000 lbs of weight. It is also set to become the cheapest offering, with only a base price of $32,500 (excluding a $1,595 destination fee).
Stellantis’ electrification efforts
Apart from the imminent launch of the Fiat 500e, Stellantis has more planned electric vehicle model launches across its owned brands.
For instance, Jeep teased its first-ever electric vehicle offering, the Wagoneer S. It is set to make its official debut in 2024. It also plans to roll out the Wrangler-inspired Recon.
In addition, Dodge will also introduce its first EV model, an electric Charger, this year. Meanwhile, Ram’s is on track to launch its electric pickup.
Going back, Stellantis announced that the Fiat 500e is developed to benefit from government tax rebates in participating states. Each unit also comes with a level 2 charger or charging credits through Stellantis’ Free2move Charge.
All these efforts are part of Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategy, which includes a 50% electric vehicle sales target in the US.
