American luxury electric automaker Lucid Motors proudly announced on X that the first Air Sapphire production model rolled off the Casa Grande assembly line in the state of Arizona.
As you can see in the company announcement, the super sedan underwent ADAS system calibration at the facility’s AMP-1 (Advanced Manufacturing Plant).

Lucid Motors previously hinted at the Air Sapphire’s production timeline in the summer at the Arizona site.
After that, the brand released a photo of the model’s release candidate in July 2023 to uphold the customers’ interest in its imminent launch.
After a month, Lucid finally announced the Air Sapphire’s official specifications and pricing.

Air Sapphire details
Lucid positioned the Air Sapphire as a limited edition model in its portfolio. It will supposedly advance as the first all-electric luxury super sports sedan in the world.
The model will have three electric motors, four driving configurations, carbon-ceramic brakes, sport seats, track-tuned suspension, a special aerodynamic package, and more.

Lucid Q2 2023 results
InsideEVs reported that Lucid’s EV production hit 2,173 units in the second quarter of 2023. It indicates a 204% increase from the same period last year.
Meanwhile, its deliveries reached 1,404 EVs in the same period, up 107% year-over-year.
As for the Q3 2023 results, Lucid is set to disclose the latest production and sales data in the coming days.
Lucid’s global sales will undoubtedly surge in the following quarters with its Advanced Manufacturing Plant 2 (AMP-2) launch in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It will initially have an assembling capacity of 5,000 units, potentially reaching a maximum output of 155,000 units.

According to the press release, the Air Sapphire production commenced in September, with customer deliveries beginning “soon.”
Teslarati reported that the new Air variant will have a base price of $249,999 in the United States and $325,000 in Canada.
