What do we know so far about the Kia EV9?
The global EV market saw enormous success for the Kia EV6 and Hyundai IONIQ 5. Now, the newly developed model is expected to surpass these models, as it will be Kia’s entry into full-size electric SUVs.
Excitingly, a new teaser video for the EV9’s production version will be released on March 15th.
For now, we can only talk about what was evident in the latest teaser video. Interestingly, the front grill of the EV9 appears to be distinctive and has not been previously seen in such detail.
However, it seems to have similar exterior features to Hyundai’s IONIQ lineup, such as the following:
· front lighting system with light pixels
· hyper-angular style
· sharp taillights
Nonetheless, Kia kept the EV6’s distinctive sleek, flowing appearance. Moreover, it has an upward swoop toward the car’s rear, now a trademark Kia design feature.
Per the concept unveiled at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, the EV9 offers the following innovative features:
· third-row capacity
· built-in solar panel in the hood
· interior designed with eco-friendly components
· integrated pop-up steering wheel
As for the technical details and specifications, Kia has not yet revealed any further details about it. Considering that the EV9 is under the automaker’s strategy to launch 11 BEVs by 2026, it will undoubtedly have a competitive power and performance to compete with its rivals.
