Japanese legacy automaker Honda has finally released more information about its upcoming Prologue after previewing the model’s interior and exterior features.
Honda aims to launch the all-electric SUV as its first electric model as early as 2024. According to the company’s online configurator, the model will offer a “sporty driving experience with a tech-rich cabin and plenty of room to roam. From everyday drives to weekend adventures, the Prologue offers exciting performance with sustainability.”
Technical details
The 2024 Honda Prologue will share numerous technologies with General Motors‘ Chevrolet Blazer EV, including platform, electric motors, battery, etc.
That said, Honda’s upcoming e-SUV will also ride on GM’s Ultium platform. However, Auto123 indicated that the automaker aims to develop its own e:Architecture platform for its next-gen models by 2025 in North America.
It will reportedly feature an 85-kWh li-ion battery with a charging capacity of up to 155 kW. Moreover, it can also fast-charge to a 100 km range within 10 minutes.
Honda also estimates that the model will have a driving range of more than 450 km. It will have two motors and enable an all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration.
Meanwhile, its maximum power output will be 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque.
According to the report, the 2024 Honda Prologue will offer three variants: EX, EX-L, and Touring.
Interior
All variants of the 2024 Honda Prologue will feature two screens, including an 11″ instrument cluster and 11.3″ multimedia system screen.
It will also enable Google integration, apart from the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto options. It will also support a WiFi connection.

Exterior
The 2024 Honda Prologue’s is larger than the popular CR-V by 200 mm in length and 125 mm in width, enabling a more comfortable and spacious interior.
Some of the notable exterior features of the Prologue are as follows:
- horizontal lines
- a broad, level hood
- flat front fenders
- wide, narrow grille
- slim horizontal LED running lights & headlights
- low roof
- sharply angled rear window, etc
Notably, it has no front trunk, but it offers a 25.5 cubic feet space behind the rear seats. It increases to 57.7 cubic feet when they are folded as it supports a 60/40 folding option.

Honda has yet to release the official pricing of the Prologue. However, the automaker recently estimated that the model will have a base price of about $60,000. It will also adopt GM’s Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system under a different name.
