Electrify America and Kia America announced a charging agreement to offer first-time owners of the all-new Kia EV6 GT with 1,000 kWh of complimentary charging, as per Electric Cars Report.
It is the equivalent of around 3,500 to 4,000 miles (5,632-6,437 km) of electric driving for the EV6 GT, depending on factors like external conditions and driving style.
Building on the existing relationship with Kia America and expanding upon the EV6 charging agreement announced earlier in 2022, the complimentary charging is redeemable at any Electrify America charging station in the country through the Electrify America app.
Working closely with automakers to provide seamless fast-charging solutions is critical to expanded EV adoption, and we’re excited to collaborate with Kia to help make the transition to an electric lifestyle even easier for new EV owners. Public charging offers drivers a convenient way to charge quickly away from home and is a critically important opportunity to instill range confidence in EV drivers.

With 576 horsepower, up to 206 miles (331 km) of EPA-rated range, and a 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, the EV6 GT could charge from 10% to 80% in roughly 18 minutes on the Electrify America DC fast-charging network.
Steve Center, COO and EVP of Kia America, said that the Kia EV6 GT is made for performance. Their ongoing collaboration with Electrify America will aid in ensuring these vehicles can do just that.
As Kia continues its switch to electrification, the EV6 GT takes the next step by offering a superior electric driving experience.
Moreover, Kia EV6 GT owners would have three years from purchase to use the 1,000 kWh of complimentary charging.
First-time owners are encouraged to download and install the Electrify America mobile app to locate stations, facilitate charging and payment, or check the status of chargers.
