The Chinese automaker BYD is proud to announce that sales of its new energy vehicles reached 174,915 in August. Since February of this year, deliveries have consistently increased month over month, as shown by this figure.
As per The Driven, BYD produced and delivered more vehicles than it did at the same time last year, by an increase of 185% in August. Furthermore, according to company reports, a total of 174,915 new energy vehicles (mostly EVs) were delivered.
Impressively, the company was able to adhere to the pressing demand for electric vehicles despite worsening power shortages in China and Covid breakouts in some regions of the nation.

Additionally, deliveries increased by 7.6% compared to the previous month of July. However, this figure shows a lower rate of increase than almost 21% from June to July.
As BYD joins the Australian market and more client deliveries are anticipated over the next few weeks, the increase in deliveries is encouraging.
On Friday, the first local delivery took place at Robina on the Gold Coast. On the other hand, more vehicles are expected to be delivered in the upcoming weeks across Australia.
The increase in BYD deliveries from China indicates that over the next 12 months, thousands of these EVs will be on the roads. In fact, early company statistics indicate that BYD Yuan Plus delivered over 18,265 automobiles in August, a 282% increase over August 2021.
Nonetheless, the quality and drive of the brand-new Atto 3 EV that was tested in Sydney last week will ensure that many BYD consumers contemplating the transition to this EV are pleased.
