Tesla’s Model 3 has significantly helped the company in securing its formidable position in automotive industry, as well as leading electric vehicle adoption across the world since its launch in 2016.
Now, content creator and Model 3 owner @Y2KColin spotted the famous electric sedan in its revamped version, “Highland.” The HD photos taken in Palo Alto ultimately revealed more relevant details about the highly awaited new-gen Model 3.
New details
As you can see in the photos attached to the Tweet above, the Tesla Model 3 Highland was outside the company’s testing grounds in California. It has the typical front and back covers and an extremely dark tinted windshield to prevent people from seeing the model’s interior changes.
The spy photos also unveiled that the new-gen Model 3 appears to feature a front-facing bumper camera to improve the EV’s ability to navigate through traffic.
This new feature may be part of the company’s new Hardware 4 suite of cameras and a computer for improving the Full Self-Driving (FSD) and Autopilot software.
It is worth noting that the upcoming all-electric Cybertruck also features a front-facing camera. Therefore, the spotted front-facing bumper camera on the Highland could be part of the company’s efforts to enhance its FSD technology.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently disclosed in a recent Twitter Space session that the company’s new Hardware 4 is more powerful than the prior version by 3 to 5 times.
