Tesla effectively advertised the Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta’s vast neural network in a video to encourage new talents to join the growing artificial intelligence (AI) team.
Video highlights
Tesla AI posted the video content on social media platform X on Friday, highlighting next-gen autonomy in one foundation video network.
As you can see in the X post below, Tesla is looking to attract new experts in the AI field to aid in the advancement of its autonomous vehicles.
“Tesla AI is building next-generation autonomy on a single foundation video network that directly drives the car
Join the team and build state-of-the-art end-to-end models using massive fleet data on one of the world’s largest training clusters.”

The post indicated job listings for two AI Research Scientist roles based in Palo Alto, including the following:
- AI Research Scientist, Foundation Models, Autopilot AI
- AI Research Scientist, Generative Modeling, Foundation Models, Autopilot AI
Other job listings
Apart from the two AI Research Scientist roles, Tesla is also looking to hire new employees for its Autopilot and Robotics development. The company’s careers website currently displays numerous open positions, such as follows:
- Senior Software Engineer for Autopilot AI deployment
- Data Annotation Specialist and Supervisor
- Senior Distributed Storage Engineer
- Senior Software Integration Engineer, etc
FSD progress
Tesla is set to launch the FSD version 12 to a wider pool of testers after confirming its internal release over a week ago.
Notably, the new software update will supposedly have an end-to-end AI and remove the “beta” title. It will finally cut its reliance on human-coded lines to employ a 99% AI system neural network based on extensive amounts of video from Tesla EVs, according to Teslarati.
In August, Tesla boss Elon Musk also referred to the FSD v12 alpha build as “mind-blowing.” The FSD beta program also achieved a significant milestone in October, having driven over 500 million miles since its launch.
Tesla’s recruitment push for new AI talents demonstrates its strong commitment to significantly advancing autonomous driving technology. It is unsurprising, considering that the autonomous tech industry has been growing significantly due to customers’ changing preferences and demands. Therefore, it can offer Tesla a new source of income that may aid the overall business in staying relevant.
