Tesla is reportedly cranking out the residential Powerwall batteries and commercial Megapacks in much higher volume in Nevada Gigafactory.
New information regarding Tesla’s energy business has been unveiled as a result of certain changes in the management at Sparks, Nevada’s Tesla factory, according to InsideEVs.
Hrushikesh “Hrushi” Sagar, the new vice president of Gigafactory operations, recently presided over a meeting with staff. According to reports, CNBC was able to obtain both the meeting’s audio and any pertinent documents.
Vice President Sagar mentioned the Fremont Factory’s impressive production of Tesla vehicles before adding that the Gigafactory in Nevada generated an astounding 283,000 electric vehicle powertrains in Q2 2022 alone.
Furthermore, he claimed that the factory could reliably generate up to 9,000 battery packs per week.
Sagar continued by saying that the facility produces more than 6,500 Tesla Powerwalls per week.
In Q2 2022, the company manufactured 37,600 home batteries, while a 22% increase is anticipated for Q3. In the same quarter, 442 Megapacks are expected to be produced. Impressively, it projects a growth of 85% from Q2 2022.
However, Sagar refused to provide the precise location of Tesla’s upcoming Gigafactory.
It is worth noting that despite being at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution, Tesla is still unable to satisfy customers’ pressing demands due to several constraints. Nonetheless, the company is making every effort to grow both its fleets and its energy business to efficiently produce more products for the customers.
