Leading American automaker Tesla has just launched an advertisement video on YouTube, as noticed by some electric vehicle enthusiasts.
Unsurprisingly, Tesla decided to highlight the safety performance of its vehicles in the paid video commercial, which is one of its strongest points.
YouTube ads highlights
Tesla took the opportunity to talk about various important points in its YouTube ad, including the enormous amount of data it collects from its global electric vehicle fleet.
As you can see in the video attached to the X post above, the Musk-led company also emphasized the significant price reduction of the Tesla Model 3 due to the US federal tax credits of up to $7,500.
The EV giant also indicated a link leading to its test drive website in the YouTube ad, encouraging interested buyers to see and experience the cars firsthand.
Tesla’s progress in advertising
Tesla initially had no interest in launching product advertisements as it prefers to spend money on improvements and upgrades, Electrek asserted. In return, it expects its owners to do the work by sharing the greatness of the Tesla EVs with the world.
However, this strategy changed earlier this year when Chief Executive Elon Musk announced plans during the annual meeting to finally try advertisements to adhere to investors’ requests.
In June, Tesla launched its first 18 Google ads, followed by another 300+ entries in just several months.
Some fans also spotted Tesla ads in an airport in Japan, Teslarati reported.
However, investors want Tesla to target more mainstream platforms like YouTube or TV commercials. Finally, Tesla started to realize the importance of product advertisements to communicate to its current and potential new customers.
Significance
Launching product advertisements can significantly aid Tesla in attracting new customers to its EV models. It can effectively deliver the message Tesla wants the market to know about the good points of its offerings.
In effect, Tesla will be able to reach its sales target of 1.8 million units this year and 20 million units by the end of the decade.
Moreover, its strategy to focus on the safety of its models is also remarkable. It can potentially reduce the hesitance of people towards the shift to battery-powered cars, considering the high level of safety its electric vehicles have.
Interested customers can book a test drive on Tesla’s electric vehicles via the link indicated in the YouTube ad.
