Electric vehicle giant Tesla has launched new discounts for new inventory Model Y and 3 vehicles as the company strives to boost its sales before the end of the fourth quarter.
Apart from the discounts, Tesla also offers 6 months of free Supercharging in the US for Tesla Model 3 and Y customers who take delivery by December 31.
Discounts
Tesla has a reputation for employing price cuts to its electric vehicles to attract customers and stimulate demand, as noted by Electrek. In a significant development, the company tried new inventory model discounts in early 2023.
Now, Tesla is offering customer discounts again for the popular Model 3 and Y. Without further ado, here are the details.
Tesla Model 3
Tesla’s official website shows in the “new inventory” section the new discount of about $3,000.
For instance, the Tesla Model 3 Performance Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive’s previous price of $53,990 dropped to $50,210.
The models displayed are almost brand-new vehicles with only low mileage. Tesla sells these units as new vehicles, which benefit from the $7,500 tax credit.
In hindsight, Tesla warned that the entry-level Model 3 may be disqualified from the full tax credit next year.
Tesla Model Y
Tesla also discounted the all-electric SUV Model Y by $3,000 in its new inventory section.
For instance, the Tesla Model Y Long Range Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive’s previous price of $57,490 to $54,620.
Tesla set a sales target of 1.8 million electric vehicles this year alone. That said, launching strategic price cuts and discounts is crucial for the automaker to stimulate customer demand. Tesla also strategically planned the official delivery event of the Cybertruck on November 30 to further boost its sales as part of its end-of-the-quarter push.
