Indian legacy automaker Tata Motors is highly optimistic that its upcoming premium electric SUV, the Tata Curvv EV, will solidify its presence in the electric vehicle space.
Tata Curvv positioned for high demand and competition
Tata Motors expects its yet-to-be-launched Curvv EV to beat the iconic Nexon EV as the country’s top-selling electric passenger vehicle, HT Auto reports, citing a company official.
Tata Passenger Electric Mobility’s Marketing, Sales, and Service Strategy Head Vivek Srivatsa reportedly outlined the reason behind the Indian automaker’s strong confidence in the Curvv EV.
Srivatsa asserted that the company sees the upcoming Tata Curvv EV as the largest growth prospect for its electric vehicle push. He further noted that the acti.ev platform-based electric SUV will sport a wide range of segment-first features as Tata did with the Punch EV.
“I won’t be surprised if it (Curvv EV) is our top-selling product. With the Curvv lineup, we see a big opportunity and the mid-size SUV space is one area where we want to get into.”
