British legacy automaker MG has finally revealed the official pricing of the new MG4 XPower special variant after launching the model at a test-drive event in Maroubra in August, The Driven reports.
The new MG4 XPower will have a base price of $59,990, excluding on-road costs. It comes with a two-tone black roof and an exclusive Hunter Green body paint choice.
Technical details
The all-wheel drive powertrain configuration of the MG4 XPower can generate a maximum power of 320 kW and 600 Nm of torque. The rear motors provide up to 170 kW power while the front delivers up to 150 kW.
The new model variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, advancing its position as the brand’s most potent model in Australia.
It is also equipped with a 64 kWh battery pack that supports fast charging of up to 140 kW. That said, it can replenish from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes.
Performance
In order to improve the MG 4 XPower’s performance, MG equipped it with 18″ cyclone alloy wheels with orange calipers. It also boasts a track mode lap timer and launch control.
More importantly, it features a Dynamic Cornering Control System with an electronic locking differential and torque vectoring for better grip and traction. This system gives the vehicle maximum control and improved stability on cornering maneuvers.
“The MG4 XPower has supercar performance packed with features including launch control and a track mode inspired lap timer showing that a compact EV can be affordable, practical and spirited to drive.”
MG Motor Australia and New Zealand CEO, Peter Ciao
