The pricing for the Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan in the United States has finally been made public, more than a year after the vehicle’s official reveal.
Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) reports that the fully electric sedan starts at $74,900, with an additional $1,150 added for destination and delivery fees. The automaker also confirmed that the EQE would launch in dealerships across the United States by the fall of 2023.
Three versions for the EQE lineup
BenzInsider reports that Mercedes-Benz claims that the EQE lineup includes three distinct versions, each offering a unique combination of pricing and performance.
These versions are the EQE 350+, the EQE 350 4MATIC, and the EQE 500 4MATIC sedans. As with the EQS lineup, each variant of the EQE described above will be offered with three different trim level options to choose from Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle.
The unique body of the EQS serves as a significant source of inspiration for the design of the EQE.
On the other hand, it does away with the liftback design in favor of the more traditional rear compartment found in sedans.
In addition, it is shorter than the EQS. It differentiates itself from the flagship model of the EQ series by incorporating several new accents, such as a larger closed front grille and a new set of wheels, among other changes.
EQE and EQS similarities
It is essential to point out that the EQE has a drag coefficient of 0.20, which is a factor that significantly contributes to the effectiveness of its aerodynamics.
Similarly, the EQE’s interior features and equipment are identical to those found in the EQS regarding technology and level of detail.
It comes with Mercedes’ trademark Hyperscreen all-digital dashboard, which incorporates the following:
- instrument cluster
- central touchscreen display
- passenger side display
- augmented reality (AR) system on the heads-up display in a completely seamless way (HUD)
305 miles EPA electric range
According to estimates provided by the EPA, the Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan will have a minimum electric range of 305 miles when operating from a full charge.
However, MBUSA keeps the powertrain specifications of the Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan a secret. In addition, it will be accessible in three trim levels, including the EQE 350+, the EQE 350 4MATIC, and the EQE 500 4MATIC.
On the other hand, you can choose between three different levels for each trim: Premium (the lowest level), Exclusive (the middle level), and Pinnacle (the highest level) (top-level).
With each new trim and level comes an expansion of the leather upholstery and technological customization options.
