American electric automaker Fisker has just crossed the 100-unit sales and delivery milestone for the Ocean SUV on Thursday, owing to its new distribution strategy in the global market.
According to the press release published yesterday, Fisker delivered a total of 107 Ocean SUVs on November 16 alone.
What’s new about Fisker’s distribution strategy?
Fisker significantly expanded its global distribution network by deploying its own delivery hubs across its markets, where its increasingly growing employees work.
Apart from that, Fisker also increased the number of its transportation logistics partners to accelerate the transfer of Oceans SUVs to delivery locations. This move will enable the company to ensure that customers will receive their ordered Ocean SUVs as early as possible.
More remarkably, nearby customers within 60 miles of a Fisker delivery hub can benefit from “Fisker Direct,” where an employee drives the Ocean to their houses for a more convenient delivery process. It also enables the company to save money from using vehicle transport.
These efforts substantially improved Fisker’s delivery process to just 4-7 days of purchase fulfillment. Some cases even see customers obtain their Ocean SUV on the same day of purchase with the pickup option.
“This result proves that our new distribution strategy is working. We expect this pace of deliveries to accelerate, and we will provide frequent updates during the remainder of 2023. We are grateful to our customers for their patience as we conduct this ramp-up.”

Q3 2023 sales
Fisker’s Q3 2023 Financial Results revealed that the company produced a total of 4,725 electric vehicles, with deliveries accounting for 1,097 units.
It asserted in the third quarter report that its EV deliveries continued to improve in October, with deliveries exceeding the entire Q3 2023 figure to more than 1,200 units. Year to date, global deliveries have already reached more than 3,000 units.
“The third quarter was very significant for Fisker as we delivered 1,097 Fisker Ocean vehicles to customers across two continents, which represents the largest delivery volume for any US-based EV OEM in their first full quarter of deliveries. We are rapidly scaling our delivery infrastructure to support even higher volumes of deliveries of our class-leading product to our loyal customers. We are gaining momentum and delivered more units in the month of October than in all of the third quarter.”

That said, its move to expand its global distribution network is undoubtedly a significant boost to its sales and delivery figures, which is crucial for the company as it seeks to compete with industry leader Tesla.
