EVR Motors, based in Israel, has signed a deal with RSB Group, one of India’s Tier-1 automotive suppliers. EVR’s agreement with RSB is the company’s fourth commercial agreement signed in India in the last eight months.
Other agreements have been signed, including those with Badve Group, Napino, and, most recently, EKA Mobility.
Every partner is in various stages of establishing manufacturing lines for electric motors based on EVR’s proprietary electric motor topology.
As a result, EVR’s electric motors are expected to be delivered to car makers in various categories beginning in the second half of 2023.
EVR to use its Trapezoidal Stator RFPM topology
EVR will develop electric motors for Light Commercial Vehicles using its Trapezoidal Stator RFPM (TS-RFPM) topology under the RSB Group and EKA Mobility agreements.
In India, the Trapezoidal Stator – Radial Flux Permanent Magnet (TS – RFPM) topology will be used to develop and manufacture motors for electric two-wheelers.
This marks EVR’s expansion from its initial markets in the 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler segments to the passenger, light commercial, and e-bus sectors.
EVR to produce electric motor coils worldwide
To serve the company’s growing customer base in the country, EVR is constructing a wholly-owned subsidiary, EVR India. EVR India will produce electric motor coils for the company’s partners in India and worldwide.
Engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and customer service will be handled by a team of about 30 people at EVR India.
EVR India will offer partners a low-risk, low-cost supply of critical motor parts, allowing them to refine their production setup and achieve more significant economies of scale.
EVR’s smaller and lighter electric motors
Sajal Kishore has been appointed managing director of EVR India by the company. Kishore has played a crucial role in developing and implementing EVR’s India business strategy, and he has previously held company’s key positions in prominent Indian automotive companies.
EVR’s electric motor product portfolio now includes four motor families ranging in power from 3KW to 135KW.
EVR’s first motors were structured for 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers, but they are also suitable for many other applications. EVR’s recent motor line expansion allows it to enter high-demand sections such as passenger cars, light vehicles, and e-buses.
EVR’s electric motors are 30%-50% smaller and lighter than standard motors, cost significantly less, and can be tailored to user requirements.
EVR has received ten patent rights for its latest tech in the last year, with more to come.
Global Tier-1 automotive producer
EVR’s electric motors have recently been demonstrated with many vehicle producers in India, Japan, and Europe.
Earlier this month, the company displayed at the 16th Auto Expo 2023 exhibition at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India.
RSB Group, founded in 1975, is a global Tier-1 automotive provider with 11 manufacturing plants in India, one in the United States, and one in Mexico.
Shafts, gearboxes, axles, 5th wheel coupling, and machined products are manufactured for engines, automobile parts, and construction equipment.
Renault, Nissan, Daimler India, Volvo Eicher, FIAT, TATA Motors, John Deere, and Ashok Leyland are among RSB’s customers.
