BMW is trying to entice Tesla and other brand owners (or lessees) to switch to its electric vehicles with a $1,000 discount, Cars Direct reported, citing the company’s released bulletin to dealers last week.
BMW’s 2024 BEV Conquest Program
The German legacy automaker BMW has just launched a new marketing initiative, “2024 BEV Conquest Program,” to boost its electric vehicle sales amid intensifying competition brought on by Tesla.
According to the report, BMW recently sent a bulletin to its dealers to notify them about the new $1,000 discount. What’s interesting about this offer is its exclusive availability to existing Tesla and other brand electric vehicle owners/lessees switching to selected BMW EVs.
Coverage
BMW’s 2024 BEV Conquest Program applies to electric vehicle owners of the following brands:
- Tesla
- Audi – all e-tron models
- Mercedes-Benz – EQB, EQE, and EQS models
- Lucid
- Rivian
- Porsche – all Taycan variants
- Polestar
- Ford – Mustang Mach-E
- Volkswagen – ID.4
This particular target customer must only choose from the BMW i4, i5, i7, or iX to benefit from the $1,000 incentive.
“The BMW Conquest Lease/APR Credit is available for current owners/lessees of competitive brand vehicles or individuals residing in the same household as the qualifying customer who lease or finance a new, eligible 2023-2024 BMW model from an authorized BMW dealer and contract through BMW Financial Services. This offer is available on select new BMW models.”

The offer seems to only apply to western states, expiring on April 1, 2024.
It must also be noted that the program does not require EV owners to trade in their non-BMW models to access the discount.
Other available incentives
Interested BMW EV buyers eligible for the program can also stack other available incentives on top of the $1,000 discount.
Some of the available incentives include the following:
- a $4,000 cash back on the BMW i5 in selected regions
- a $7,500 lease credit on the i4
- a $8,500 discount on the i4
- a $9,900 lease cash on the iX
BMW’s move to offer enticing incentives to potential buyers is unsurprising, considering the current challenging market situation. It can significantly attract new customers to buy from the brand, as they can now obtain its originally premium-priced models for a lower cost.
