Of that price, customers can also benefit from a 3-year free on-the-go charging with Electrify America. BMW USA claims it can offer an additional 180 to 200-mile range in just half an hour of charging session.
Notable features
Auto Week claims to have a test drive of the BMW i7 M70 over the weekend in Portugal. It noted some interesting features of the model, including the driver’s ability to control the amount of powertrain sound allowed to penetrate the cabin. However, the interior sounds can be customized through the iDrive rotary controller at the center console or the touchscreen for more tech-savvy owners.
It also noted that the brand’s most recent operating system with an 8.5″ infotainment architecture is a sleek platform to control various settings, including the following:
- enable personal WiFi hotspot
- process parking payments
- find nearest charger
- scheduling vehicle service, among others
However, it would be a challenge for non-tech-savvy owners. Most functions in the car need extensive menu navigation as its cabin was apparently meant to be a “sanctuary visually and physically.” That said, it hardly has physical buttons on the instrument panel and in the center console.
The report further noted that the model will feature a Level 2 Highway Assistant system that enables hands-free and pedal-free driving on authorized expressways.

BMW plans to launch the i7 M70 in the US market in November. The German automaker offers a competitive basic warranty of four years/50,000 miles and eight years/100,000 miles for parts.
All that said, the 2024 BMW i7 M70 is undoubtedly an innovative EV model that offers strong performance, advanced tech features, and superior comfort. It can substantially aid the company in boosting its sales as soon as it arrives in the market.
