German legacy automaker Mercedes-Benz’s EQE sedan apparently saw an increase in its EPA range for the 2024 model year, as per the latest ratings on the agency’s website.
EPA range changes and energy consumption rating
InsideEVs outlined that the Mercedes-Benz EQE family includes four variants: RWD EQE 350+, AWD EQE 350 4Matic, EQE 500 4Matic, and sportier AWD AMG EQE.
For reference, the 2023 model year had an EPA range point of 225 miles to 305 miles. Impressively, all AWD variants for the 2024 model year saw improvements in the EPA Combined range. However, the RWD variant reported a slight decline in range.
Presented below is the EPA range comparison of the 2024 and 2023 EQEs:

Considering that the 2023 Mercedes EQE variants cost more than $55,000, customers cannot benefit from the US federal tax credits of up to $7,500. Therefore, it is highly likely the 2024 EQEs will also not make the eligible lists of the IRA’s EV tax credits.
